The Burlington City Council said okay tonight to a study that will determine whether the community can raise $6,000,000 – $7,000,000 for an indoor addition to the RecPlex.
The project would include four basketball courts, a full-sized convertible soccer field and batting cages, among other features and would be approximately 72,000 square feet. Matt Shinn of Two Rivers Bank says the concept was at the top of the list of community desires, as determined by the “IMAGINE” project in 2010. (Local development arm) Grow Greater Burlington has agreed to donate the land, if the building is started within two years.
