A suspicious vehicle fire in rural Des Moines county has been determined not to be arson.
Early Tuesday Morning, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Department Officials and Mediapolis Firefighters responded to a report of a car on fire at 155th Avenue and 165th Street near Sperry. It’s not known what exactly caused the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, to catch fire.
The car is a total loss.
Investigation determined that the fire was not the result of arson. No criminal charges are pending.
