The Burlington School Board approved a lease with the city of Burlington at Monday’s meeting, which will result in the the expansion of the disc golf course at Dankwardt Park.
The City of Burlington’s Parks Director, Eric Tysland, spoke on the topic at Monday’s City Council work session, he says that the course sees a lot of use, “We have very active disc golf groups and enthusiastic individuals that would like to see…some expanded disc golf options.”
Tysland says that the area won’t be heavily developed by cutting trees or adding concrete. The city currently plans on adding nine holes to the course.
