The owner of a Chevrolet Impala Vehicle was running an errand when they came to a surprise that their vehicle had caught fire while away yesterday July 31 around 3pm. Parked on the 1000 block of Maple Street in Burlington, the car was fully engulfed in flames when Burlington Fire Fighters arrived on the scene. Fortunately, the fire was extinguished within five minutes upon arrival. Fire Department officials comment that when the driver was away from the vehicle, something within the vehicle had caught fire when in park. The cause of the fire is still yet to be determined and none were injured. The owner of the vehicle was not named by officials.
