I realize it's been more than a week since I've been gone but I guess they should have taken away my website privileges.

I just wanted to take some time to thanks. Thanks for allowing me to talk to you and with you for the last two years.

Thanks to Mike Savage for coming on board the program in a pinch and sticking around for the duration to have a little fun and make my blood pressure rise on occasion.

Thanks to Steve Hexom for putting up with me and being flexible when I came up with crazy/different ideas and also for teaching me that there is never a bad time for a rimshot.

Thanks to the many callers, guests and, most importantly, friends that I've met over the course of my time at KBUR, whether through The Talkshow or in covering the news. Everyone at City Hall, the County Supervisors (yes, even you Jeff Heland), the Sheriff's Department, Police Station, the Chamber folks, any other public official I've come in contact with....thanks for being available to me, honest with me and putting your trust in me.

Burlington has been good to me and my wife and, quite honestly, was hard to leave. It did become home to us and if it's home to you, enjoy it. It's a great place, despite some of the controversies and problems that have been discussed on occasion. Those little things are everywhere, trust me. That's all from me and I'll talk to you on down the road...approximately 60 miles south if you were to drive it.

I just wonder what they'll ever end up doing with Cascade Bridge...and who's going to pay for it...and how much is it going to cost....
