Danker, John Ellsworth
He had been sick for the last two years, but serious the past two months. He was born on April 5, 1944 in San Rafael, CA to William A. & Nellie M. Horn Danker. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and married Mary Pauly. He was self employed most of his life.

John is survived by: his wife: Mary Danker of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: John (Michelle) Danker of West Point, IA & Rob Danker of West Point, IA; 8-grandchildren and 1-sister: Shirley Simmons of Fort Madison, IA. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-brother & 1-infant brother.

John’s body has been cremated and a visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with the memorial service to immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. all at Victory Faith Community Church with Rev. Roger Welty officiating. Burial will be held at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the church during the service or mailed to Mary Danker at 1734 Avenue I, Fort Madison, IA 52627. King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
