The daughter of Samuel and Minnie (Hathaway) Snyder, she was born July 4, 1943 at Muscatine. On June 2, 1963 she married Ronald Mairet at Muscatine. She was a graduate of the Grandview High School. She worked as dietician at Muscatine General Hospital for 24 years.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronald of Keosauqua; three sons; Jeff of Oskaloosa; Ron and Diana of Columbus Junction; Shawn of Amana; three grandchildren; Shane, Megan and Linsie; one great grandson, Carsyn; four sisters; Sharon Hunt and Mary Bragg both of Muscatine; Gayle Snyder of Mt. Pleasant; Kathy Snyder of Macon, MO.; five brothers; Larry of Blue Grass; Gary and John both of Fruitland; Bob of Des Moines; Walt of Macon, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held Thursday March 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, with Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fulton-Cairo Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends at this time.
