Henderson County Sheriff’s Office announces ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign numbers

Oquawka, Ill.-  The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the results of its Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.

According to a news release, Henderson County deputies issued 15 citations during the recent enforcement period.

“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts and child safety restraints save lives,” said Sheriff Matthew Link.

During the enforcement period, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office wrote 4 citations for seat belt violations as well as:

  • 1 warrant arrest
  • 2 suspended/revoked licenses
  • 3 uninsured motorists
  • 5 speeding citations

The Illinois “Click It or Ticket” campaign is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal highway safety funds.
